Mural Tour in Beautiful Austin

When you have limited time in a city that has a lot of personalities, how do you best capture its essence?

Austin is such a place. It’s a college town, but it’s a major metropolitan area. It’s sophisticated, but it’s casual. It’s a little bit of country, and it’s a little bit of rock and roll. And we all know how weird Austin is.

As you plan your trip to Austin, you are probably wondering how you can get a feel for this city that has multiple personalities. One suggestion is that you book a spot on our Austin Mural Tour. In fact, it’s one of the first things you should do when you arrive.

Our tour guides are fun and energetic, and they are knowledgeable about the city. Just like a proud new homeowner, our guides are excited to show off Austin’s many neighborhoods and attractions.

Since they live in the Austin area, they will share the insider’s perspective, and let you know things about Austin that you can’t read on most travel websites. That’s why this tour should be the first thing you do in Austin. Our tour guides will give you advice on places you shouldn’t miss within the city, and places that you might want to save for the next visit.

Plus, there will sure to be plenty of places that you see on the tour that you will want to return to later in your trip, like one of our many iconic boot stores or a boutique that seemed just your style.

Our tour allows you to get to know Austin by visiting some of our street murals. We won’t be able to visit all of them. There are over 80 murals, and the number seems to grow every day. The current roster of mural stops includes “My Butter Half,” the 6th Street Mural, “Greetings from Austin,” “I Love You So Much,” and “Hi! How Are You.” Of course, just as the outdoor art changes, our route may change as well.

Austin’s murals will provide the absolute perfect backdrops for your selfies. Don’t worry if you forgot your selfie stick, and you don’t have long arms. There will be plenty of people around who will help you get that perfect post-worthy pic.

Some of our murals celebrate Austin, some of them celebrate love, and as far as “Hi! How Are You” . . . well, we aren’t sure what that is celebrating.

Our tours run daily at 12:00 p.m. Tours leave from the Austin Visitor Center at 602 East Fourth Street. You can purchase tickets on our website. From there, you will be able to quickly see how many tickets are available for that day’s tours.

The Austin Mural Tour is approximately two and a half hours long, but the time is dependent on the traffic and the length of time we spend at each stop.

Speaking of traffic, don’t you hate visiting a city and then feeling as if you didn’t even see it because you spent the entire time navigating through traffic? That’s another benefit of our tours. You can sit back and relax. Leave the navigating, driving, and parking to us.

We aren’t borrowing our Mama’s minivan to transport you around the city. You will be swept through the streets in our clean, comfortable, luxury vehicles. You’ll have plenty of legroom and headroom.

You may have heard that Austin summers are a little warm. Don’t worry. Our drivers will keep the air conditioner running between stops.

Did we mention that our tours are BYOB? Feel free to crack open a cold one before noon. We won’t tell your mom.

If you find yourself in need of additional transportation while you are in town, may we suggest that you reach out to the fine people of R&R Limo and Bus? They have been serving residents and visitors of Austin for more than 15 years. They know and love the city and would be happy to take care of all your transportation needs.

You are going to love the Austin Mural Tour so much that you will probably be interested in checking out the other options on the Tour Austin website. For fans of day drinking, we offer several tasting tours.

If you really want to live like a true Texan for the day, book a relaxing river tubing tour.

Finally, we also have tours that celebrate our neighboring cities. Visit the Magnolia Market and Silos on our Waco Day Trip Tour or see the Riverwalk on our San Antonio Day Trip Tour.
