Brewery Tour in Austin Hill
Tour Austin is proud to present our new Austin Hill Country Brewery Tour!
Do you like beer?
Were you expecting a follow-up question?
There’s no need for one. If you like beer, you will love this tour. We promise.
Our Austin Hill Country Brewery tour leaves at 10:30 a.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the Austin Visitor Center, which is located at 602 E. Fourth Street. Our tour is $99 per person. If you are planning to join us on one of these upcoming weekends, make sure you book your experience ASAP. Our tours have been known to sell out, so call 512-593-6331 to schedule your tour today.
There are a bunch of breweries around the Austin area, but we have chosen three of our favorites to share with you.
The first stop on our tour is Vista Brewing. Vista Brewing is about a 40-minute drive from the Austin Visitor Center. It is located in Driftwood and offers beautiful ranch views, a restaurant specializing in local foods, and (of course) a beer garden.
You will appreciate Vista Brewing’s vision, which is rooted in agriculture. Vista doesn’t only brew beer. They are a working farm, specializing in vegetables, herbs, and berries. They also have a 16-hive apiary and chickens. If you want a more urban experience, you should stay in Austin. If you want to see the fields where your food is grown, you should visit Vista Brewing.
Twisted X Brewing Company
Tour Austin’s next stop for the day will be the Twisted X Brewing Company. They are located just a few minute’s drive from Vista Brewing in the town of Dripping Springs, Texas. This small-batch brewery has created superior craft lagers, pilsners, and IPAs.
You will love trying Twisted X’s Austin lager, which is a German-inspired beer made with Pilsner malt and German hops.
If you love a citrus taste in your beer, you will love the Whoa-Mango. You’ll taste mango, peach, and citrus in this IPA.
Finally, the Vienna Lager is the perfect beer for those who enjoy rich toasted malt flavors with slight caramel notes.
The people of Twisted X love craft beer as much as they love Texas. We think you will like their canned concoctions too.
Family Business Beer Company
Our last stop on the Tour Austin Brewery Tour is the Family Business Beer Company. Also located in Dripping Springs, this microbrewery offers a staggeringly wide array of different brews. From their Intergalactic Black IPA called Dark Star to their Helles Lager called Americanas, the Family Business Beer Company offers every style in between.
Once we are finished at the three breweries, we will return you to the visitor center in Austin at around 4:30 p.m., and from there, the rest of the afternoon is yours. You and your friends can immediately break into the growlers that you brought home from your favorite breweries. Or you can nap for a few hours before enjoying a few more drinks.
Tour Austin’s events are BYOB. Pack a cooler and some snacks to enjoy on the road. You can pack a lunch as well, or you consider eating at one of the stops on the tour. Vista Brewing has a restaurant, and there are food trucks parked at the front of the other locations.
We know that illnesses or emergencies sometimes get in the way of your weekend plans. If you need to cancel your tour, email us at least 48-hours before your departure time. Tour Austin will be happy to give you a refund. If you are unable to give us more than a 48-hour notice, we will happily provide you with credit to use toward a future tour.
Our professional drivers will provide transportation for your tour in our luxury vehicles. Our Mercedes Sprinter vans are comfortable and easy to enter and exit. Even the longest-legged passengers are comfortable in our vans.
Do you want to visit a mixture of breweries and wineries located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country? Call Tour Austin. We are happy to plan custom excursions for groups of any size. Do you want to add a distillery to your schedule as well? No problem!
We also offer the Austin East Side Brewery Tour for those of you who would rather stay in the city. Check out our Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco Day Trip as well. Or we would be happy to drive you and your friends to San Antonio for the day too.
